The 4-week moving average was 213,500, an increase of 750 from the previous week’s unrevised average of 212,750. The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.2 percent for the week ending January 11, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending January 11 was 1,899,000, an increase of 46,000 from the previous week’s revised level. This is the highest level for insured unemployment since November 13, 2021 when it was 1,974,000. The previous week’s level was revised down by 6,000 from 1,859,000 to 1,853,000. The 4-week moving average was 1,865,750, an increase of 500 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised down by 1,500 from 1,866,750 to 1,865,250.”
