Excerpt: “The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Kosovo of Javelin Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $75 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today. … This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security of the United States by improving the security of a European partner which is an important force for political and economic stability in Europe. The proposed sale will improve Kosovo’s long-term defense capacity to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity to meet its national defense requirements. Kosovo will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment into its armed forces.”
